The washers and the tops of the anchor bars are machined with a “D” shape. This allows the washer to slide over the ground anchor bar when the flat faces are aligned. At intervals set for 2″, 3″ and 4″ bases, groves are machined into the bars and when the “D” washer is turned on one of these it locks into position.
